Description
Sweet and sour Italian onions of the borettana variety, selected for quality and size, flavoured with balsamic vinegar of Modena.
 
Ingredients
Onion, water, sugar, balsamic vinegar of Modena PGI (wine vinegar, grape must, colouring agent: caramel)(4%), sunflower seed oil, wine vinegar, salt, acidity regulator: citric acid.

Directions and Serving Suggestions
As Is   Prepared

The product is ideal for crostini, tapas, appetizers and side dishes. Also excellent in cold platters.

FOR CROSTINI
Brush a slice of bread (crusts off) with olive oil and toast it for a few minutes, do not allow to brown. Cut into 2 cm fingers. Place an onion in the centre and wrap with a thin slice of smoked bacon. Place the bread fingers under the grill until the bacon starts browning. Decorate with sprigs of fresh thyme.
